Breast services in Northern Ireland have been under significant pressure for some time. To address this, the Department of Health has initiated a programme of work, “Reshaping Breast Services in Northern Ireland”.
The Review will focus on (but not be limited to)assessment, surgery, treatment, aftercare, workforce and infrastructure.
To inform this review, the Department of Health is seeking to engage as widely as possible with people who have a lived experience of breast services in Northern Ireland.
They are holding a series of engagement sessions in the community with charities and support organisations to provide an overview of this review and highlight how those with lived experience of breast cancer services can help shape services in Northern Ireland for the future.
