VOLUNTEERS HAVE A UNIQUE CONTRIBUTION TO MAKE TO THE WORK OF CANCER LIFELINE IN HELPING TO SUPPORT PEOPLE AFFECTED BY CANCER IN NORTH BELFAST. We involve volunteers because
- Their support shows that the community really values and wants Cancer Lifeline to succeed as an orgainsation
- It matters to our project users that volunteers want to help; they are there because they want to be there
- Volunteers add an extra range of skills, flexibility, experience and fresh ideas that would not exist without their involvement
- Volunteers can provide a service that compliments what employees can offer
