Volunteering

VOLUNTEERS HAVE A UNIQUE CONTRIBUTION TO MAKE TO THE WORK OF CANCER LIFELINE IN HELPING TO SUPPORT PEOPLE AFFECTED BY CANCER IN NORTH BELFAST. We involve volunteers because

  • Their support shows that the community really values and wants Cancer Lifeline to succeed as an orgainsation
  • It matters to our project users that volunteers want to help; they are there because they want to be there
  • Volunteers add an extra range of skills, flexibility, experience and fresh ideas that would not exist without their involvement
  • Volunteers can provide a service that compliments what employees can offer

You can help Cancer Lifeline by volunteering... HOW ?

  • Volunteer in our Charity Boutique & Furniture Shops
  • Help out as a volunteer at outreach / health events (helping to raising awareness of the work / support programmes on offer)
  • Organise clothing, furniture drives for our shops
  • Assist with fundraising events / counting monies
  • Become a member of the Friends of Cancer Lifeline
  • Organise fundraising / charity nights
  • Actively participate in local marathon events
